The Dobbs Ferry Party

PRESS RELEASE

Date: July 6, 2010

The Dobbs Ferry Party was formed more than a decade ago by Democrats who believed that service to their village transcended loyalty to a political party or ideology. While never giving up their memberships or belief in the national party to which they belonged, Dobbs Ferry Party members who served this Village as Trustees and Mayors put aside partisan loyalties and national political agendas so they could accomplish the DF Partys stated goal and motto Representation of All the People.

Over the years, 3 Mayors (1 Democrat, 1 Republican, and 1 Independent) and 12 Trustees (7 Democrats, 7 Republicans, and 1 Independent) from the DF Party have been elected to office, compiling a strong record of achievement. What we ultimately all share is a desire to represent the residents of the Village in a non-partisan fashion, and to work hard to move Dobbs Ferry forward in a positive way. With the slate of candidates that the Dobbs Ferry Party are presenting below for the November 2010 election, we believe we have put together a strong mix of qualified people to join the new administration and its positive vision one that has put action back into government; this mix of individuals will enhance these efforts so that local government can continue the progress that will benefit all the residents of Dobbs Ferry.

The Dobbs Ferry Party is pleased to announce its slate of candidates who will run for the 3 open seats for Village Trustee in the November General Election in Dobbs Ferry, as follows: David Bloom (Independent), Larry Simmons (Democrat), and Greg Smith (Independent).
